Why we exist

The most important molecule in your body shouldn't be the cheapest thing on your shelf.

I started ionBottles after a year of feeling — not measuring, not testing, just feeling — the difference hydrogen-rich water made in my own body. Better recovery. Steadier energy. The kind of mental clarity that doesn't come from caffeine. I read every paper I could find. Twelve hundred of them and counting. The science was there. The bottles weren't.

Most hydrogen bottles on the market were marketing dressed up as wellness. Cheap SPE membranes that leaked ozone. Generic ppm claims with no lab data behind them. Beautiful packaging, hollow promises. We built ours different on purpose: medical-grade DuPont PEM, third-party lab verification we publish openly, and a build quality that earns a place on your countertop next to the things you actually love.

How we got here

A short timeline of stubborn decisions.

  1. 2020

    A garage in Albany, Oregon.

    After a year of personally drinking hydrogen water and feeling the difference, Bobby and Kristi launched ionBottles with a single product and a stubborn belief: this should be the standard, not a luxury.

  2. 2021

    First independent lab report.

    We published our first third-party hydrogen ppm verification — something most competitors still refuse to do. Customers noticed.

  3. 2022

    The Pro Model launches.

    Medical-grade DuPont PEM membrane, dual-chamber ozone separation, borosilicate glass. The bottle that took us from a niche product to a brand serious athletes, doctors, and biohackers started recommending.

  4. 2024

    100,000 customers.

    Eight figures of cumulative revenue. A four-product lineup. Still family-owned. Still answering customer emails ourselves on the weekends.

  5. 2025

    The ATOM™.

    Our most advanced bottle yet — up to 5.0 ppm of pure dissolved hydrogen, ISO/IEC 17025-certified output, 13-hour airtight retention. The science finally caught up with the design we'd been chasing.

  6. What's next

    Make this the default.

    Our long game: hydrogen water becomes as normal as filtered water. The science says it could change how a third of the country thinks about health. We intend to help.
