Use tap, spring, filtered or reverse osmosis water, cold or at room temperature. Never fill with hot or boiling water.

Platinum-coated titanium plates make H₂ from the water. At the same time, a membrane vents the oxygen, chlorine and ozone out of the bottle, away from the water you will drink.

Questions people ask before they buy
What is hydrogen water, and isn't there hydrogen in water already?
Hydrogen water is drinking water with extra molecular hydrogen gas (H₂) dissolved in it. The hydrogen already in H₂O is chemically bonded to oxygen, so it is not available to you as hydrogen. An Ion bottle generates free H₂ and dissolves it into the water you already drink.
Is hydrogen water the same as alkaline water?
No, the two terms measure different things. Alkaline water is water with a higher pH. Hydrogen water is water with dissolved molecular hydrogen gas (H₂) in it. An Ion bottle adds H₂ to your water and nothing else.
Why not buy a cheaper hydrogen bottle?
Many cheaper bottles skip the proton exchange membrane. Without one, the chlorine, ozone and oxygen made during a cycle stay in the water you drink, and many generic bottles measure only 0.2 to 0.6 PPM.

Which bottle should I get?
Choose the Pro (14 oz) if you want a glass bottle for home or the office. Choose ATOM (10 oz) for a compact bottle you carry everywhere, or IonX (10 oz) for the highest concentration we make. The Tumbler (32 oz) is one insulated bottle that lasts the day, and the Jug (50 oz) holds the most water per fill.

How much hydrogen does each bottle put in the water?
After a full cycle, the Pro reaches up to 3.0 PPM, ATOM up to 5.0 PPM, and the Tumbler up to 3.0 PPM across all 32 oz, each independently lab-verified. IonX reaches up to 8.0 PPM at generation. That is a peak reading. At normal pressure water holds roughly 1.6 PPM, so the concentration falls once you open the bottle.
Published hydrogen-water studies have typically used about 0.5 to 1.6 PPM.
How long does the hydrogen stay in the water?
H₂ is the smallest molecule there is, and it leaves water quickly. That is why every Ion bottle makes it fresh instead of storing it. Drink within about 20 minutes of a cycle. With IonX, drink within a few minutes, because its peak falls fastest.

What water should I use, and does it change the taste?
Use the water you already drink. Tap, spring, filtered and RO water all work, because the membrane and vent keep chlorine, ozone and oxygen out of the drinking chamber.
Molecular hydrogen is odorless and tasteless, and nothing else is added, so your water tastes the same. With hard tap water, run the self-clean cycle more often to clear mineral buildup.
How do I charge it, and how long does a charge last?
Every Ion bottle charges over USB-C. ATOM and IonX run 12 to 15 full cycles per charge, the Pro runs 10 or more, and each reaches full in under two hours. The Tumbler lasts about a week per charge at one or two cycles a day.
A full cycle takes about three minutes. ATOM and IonX also have a 1-minute quick cycle.
Is hydrogen water safe?
Molecular hydrogen has GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status with the FDA for use in beverages, and published human trials have not identified safety concerns. Your gut bacteria already produces hydrogen gas every day.
Hydrogen water is your normal water with hydrogen added. Keep drinking as much water as you do now.
Does hydrogen water treat or cure anything?
