How we test

The methodology, in plain English.

Most hydrogen water brands cite a single, often-self-conducted lab number. We publish a continuously-updated, independently-verified record. That's the difference.

  1. Independent lab selection

    We test exclusively with third-party labs that hold ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation or equivalent. We never publish self-tested numbers as fact.

  2. Random production sampling

    Bottles tested are pulled randomly from production runs — not specially-prepared 'show' units. This is how we ensure the data reflects what customers receive.

  3. Long-duration validation

    PPM output is tested at first-use AND after 6 and 12 months of simulated daily-use. A bottle that produces 5.0 ppm out of the box but degrades after 90 days isn't a 5.0 ppm bottle.

  4. Open publication

    Every report PDF is published on this page. If a number changes between testing windows — even if it's lower — we update the page and date the new report.

What people ask about the testing.

Why don't other hydrogen water brands publish their lab data?

Honestly? Often because the data wouldn't support the marketing. Many bottles claim PPM numbers that match the brief moment of peak output and don't disclose what happens after 30 cycles of use. We publish long-duration results so customers can trust what they're paying for.

What is ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation?

ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for testing and calibration laboratories. Labs that hold this accreditation have demonstrated technical competence and produce results that are internationally recognized. We prioritize labs with this credential because it means the data is verifiable, reproducible, and admissible in regulatory contexts.

What's the difference between PPM, PPB, and ORP?

PPM (parts per million) measures dissolved hydrogen concentration in water. PPB (parts per billion) is one thousand times smaller — brands often report PPB to make numbers sound bigger. ORP (oxidation reduction potential) measures the antioxidant potential of the water in millivolts. PPM is the most-cited and most-meaningful metric for hydrogen water.

How often do you retest?

We test bottles at first-use AND after 6 and 12 months of simulated daily-use. New runs are scheduled each quarter. If a result changes — up or down — the new number gets published on this page within 30 days.
