Welcome to the next level of hydration with your new ionBottles Pro Model. The Pro is our flagship hydrogen water bottle — built around a borosilicate glass chamber, food-grade titanium electrolysis plates, and a high-performance SPE/PEM membrane. It delivers some of the highest hydrogen concentrations available in a personal bottle.

Drinking Schedule
For best results, drink 2-3 Pro bottles daily. Start with one on an empty stomach within 15 minutes of waking, a second 30 minutes before lunch, and a third in the early evening. The Pro is designed for daily consumption and produces water at the highest hydrogen concentration we offer, so a slightly lower volume per day still delivers the full benefit.
Initial Setup
- Unscrew the glass chamber from the stainless steel base.
- Remove the small protective plug from the center of the PEM membrane — this keeps the membrane hydrated in shipping.
- Hand-wash the glass chamber and lid with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Rinse thoroughly. Do NOT put the base in water.
- Reassemble and charge the base fully using the included USB-C cable. A solid green light means it's ready.
- Fill the chamber with filtered, spring, or mineral water — never tap water with heavy chlorine, and never sparkling water.
Powering the Device
Press the power button once for the 3-minute cycle. Double-press for the 10-minute high-concentration cycle. The LED ring will pulse during the cycle and turn off when complete. You'll see small hydrogen bubbles rising from the base plate — that's the SPE/PEM membrane working correctly.
Maintenance and Safety
Clean the glass chamber and lid by hand every 2-3 days with warm soapy water. Wipe the stainless steel base with a damp cloth — never submerge the base. Descale the PEM membrane monthly: fill the chamber with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and food-grade citric acid (or white vinegar), run one 10-minute cycle, then rinse and run two cycles of plain filtered water before drinking. Always keep the vent on the bottom of the base clear of debris.
Troubleshooting
- Weak bubbling or low hydrogen output: Most often a membrane that needs descaling — see Maintenance above. If descaling doesn't help, contact support.
- Bottle won't power on: Charge fully for 4 hours. If the LED doesn't respond after a full charge, try a different USB-C cable or wall adapter before contacting support.
- Leak between the chamber and base: Inspect the silicone seal at the top of the base for any debris or wear. Wipe clean, reseat, and hand-tighten — do not over-torque.
- Unusual taste: Run a descaling cycle and rinse thoroughly. Make sure you're using clean filtered, spring, or mineral water — not distilled water on its own and not tap water with high chlorine.
FAQs
- How often should I charge the Pro? Once every 25 cycles, or whenever the LED pulses red.
- Can I use hot water? No. Keep water under 120°F (50°C). Hot water damages the PEM membrane and voids the warranty.
- Can I drink the water immediately after a cycle? Yes. Best within 15-20 minutes for peak hydrogen concentration.
- Is the glass dishwasher safe? No. Always hand-wash the chamber and lid. The base must never go in the dishwasher.
- What's the warranty? 1-year manufacturer warranty on the electronics, lifetime warranty on the glass chamber against manufacturing defects.
