Is this a subscription?
No. It's a one-time fee. Pay once and your ionBottle is covered for as long as you own it.
How is this different from the standard 1-year warranty?
Every ionBottle ships with a 1-year manufacturer warranty included. The Lifetime Protection Plan extends that coverage indefinitely and adds wear-and-tear items (battery, seals, gaskets) that aren't covered under the standard warranty.
What's NOT covered?
Cosmetic damage, loss, theft, and damage from misuse (e.g. dishwasher, boiling water, dropping from significant height). See our warranty FAQ for the full breakdown.
Can I add it to a past order?
Yes, within 60 days of original purchase. Email hello@ionbottles.com with your order number and the variant you want to cover.
Is it transferable?
Yes — if you give the bottle to someone else, they get the remaining lifetime coverage. Just email us with the new owner's name.
How do I file a claim?
Email hello@ionbottles.com with your order number, a short description, and a photo or video of the issue. We typically respond within 1–2 business hours during PT business hours.
Do I need to register the plan?
No. The plan is automatically tied to the email on your order. As long as you can verify the original purchase, you're covered.
